Corina Hanson

Born in Nakusp, BC, Vancouver painter and mixed media artist Corina Hanson has a diverse range of art practices. Professionally trained as a fashion designer, her career has evolved from textiles to site specific installations, socially engaged art, mosaic, mixed media and painting. Her public mosaic installations can be found around Vancouver and Richmond.

Now working predominately in the medium of acrylic painting, she is inspired by the natural world, colour and the changing quality of light one sees throughout the day. The gestural abstraction of line creates an arena in which beauty and harmony negotiate with chaos.
